First Baptist Church of Chenoa celebrated its 140th Anniversary in 2006.  We are a church that has had a rich tradition and reputation as being a fundamentally strong and active spiritual presence in our community.  While our church has typically been a moderate size congregation, (currently averaging 85-90) with modest financial resources, we have traditionally demonstrated good stewardship of our financial resources and have worked to maintain our properties while remaining debt free. 

We are a church that has consistently demonstrated strength in being missions minded.  Our annual mission giving is typically very high for a church of our size. 

We currently reach our youth through our Sunday School Classes (currently averaging 65-70) and  programs such as Vacation Bible School (this years attendance averaged 65-70).  We have recently added two weekly activities of Children's Church and Youth Church to engage our Children. 

Activities relating to congregational fellowship have varied over the years but have included picnics in the park, adults night out, potluck dinners, and Bible study groups.  Our church participated in the "40 Days of Purpose" about 2 years ago which refueled fellowship occurring through small group Bible studies. 

Our church will be participating in the "40 Days of Community" this Fall.  Look for more information to come.
